We have been heartbroken to see the crisis that has rapidly deteriorated in Afghanistan this week. We know that Jesus is deeply committed to the last, the lost, the least and the broken, and so we are moved in compassion and desire justice in that country.

We know that as Christians we are called to be a voice for the marginalised (Prov. 31:8-9) and to pray for God’s kingdom to come (Matt 6:9-10). Please join us as we do what we can to pray for the people of Afghanistan and to speak up for them by asking our government to take immediate action.

SIGN OUR CHURCH PETITION TO LOCAL MPs
Proverbs 31:8-9 calls us to speak on behalf of those without a voice. This drives us to do what we can to ask our government to act on behalf of the people of Afghanistan. We have put together a letter to our local MPs asking the government to take action.

Please use the link below (or simply email [email protected]) to join your name to this list, or to find out more information.

Please indicate in your email your title (Mr/Mrs/Ms/Dr/Rev etc.), full name and suburb. Alternatively you could text or call Matt Gray on 0404 358 989

We need to move quickly so please reply by 10am Friday 20th August.

CONTACT YOUR LOCAL MP
As well as our church response it is great if we individually reach out to our local federal MPs asking for action. The best way to do this is through a phone call, however an email is also a great way to contact them.
Please use the links below for a guide on how to do this!
