Baptisms

“We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life”
Romans 6:4

At Georges River Life Church, we believe being baptised is an important step in the life-journey of a Jesus-follower.

Being baptised doesn’t make you a believer – it shows that you already believe, and are ready to follow Jesus’ example (He got baptised, too!) and His commands (check out Matthew 28:19-20).

During this COVID-season, our baptisms will look a bit different to ensure everyone stays safe – but we still want to celebrate the ways God is still moving!

This year we’re inviting people to host their own baptism separately before November 16 (e.g. at the river in Carss Park, in a pool at their home) – and video record the event so that we can collect the footage and share the celebration on November 29, during our Sunday Online.

We would also love to have testimonies recorded professionally, which will be shared in the live stream on November 29 too. More details on this, coming soon…
