Safe Church Policies, Forms & Procedures

GRLC is committed to providing places, services and programs that promote physical, emotional and spiritual health and safety and model the love of Christ to all whom we have contact with, particularly children, young people and vulnerable adults.

Safe Church Policy

The Safe Church Policy outlines the commitment of the church to principles in various areas. More
detail regarding the practical implementation of these commitments is available in the relevant
procedures and guidelines.

Ministry Screening Questionnaire - Over 18s

The MSQ asks personal questions which assists GRLC and its staff and volunteers meet the obligations of the Child Safe Standards.

Leader Level - Volunteer Code of Conduct

As part of our commitment to create safe spaces at GRLC, volunteers are required to sign and abide by a Code of Conduct.

This Code is for volunteers in leadership or discipleship roles. This document shows the contents of the Code, but is not the form. Please go to the volunteer recruitment page to complete the form.

Service Level - Volunteer Code of Conduct

As part of our commitment to create safe spaces at GRLC, volunteers are required to sign and abide by a Code of Conduct.

Guide to Complaint Management

This guide is an overarching document to assist in understanding which document is required to work through complaints. (Using either conflict resolution, Complaints against staff & volunteers, or Child Protection Concerns)

Procedure for Conflict Resolution

The Procedure for Conflict Resolution sets out a procedure for resolving conflict between two or more staff or volunteers in a pastoral and restorative manner, rather than through a formal complaint handling procedure.

Procedure for Handling Complaints against Staff & Volunteers

Details how complaints against a staff or volunteer regarding a serious breach of Code of Conduct is managed.


Procedure for Responding to Child Protection Concerns

This Procedure is to be followed when a complaint or information about any form of child protection concern is received.

Procedure for Recruiting & Training Staff & Volunteers

This procedure ensures a thorough recruitment, screening, training and resourcing of all staff and volunteers, particularly those engaged in Child-related Work (within the meaning of the WWCC Legislation).

Guidelines for Activities with Children and Young People

This document is provided to assist kids and youth leaders as they make decisions about specific situations related to ministry with children and young people.

Children & Youth Ministry Information Form

All children and young people attending activities at GRLC must complete the Ministry Information Form so we are able to care for your child.

Safe Church Concerns Form

The completed form should be given to a member of your Safe Church Team who will follow the Procedure for Responding to Child Protection Concerns.

Baptist Association Code of Ethics and Conduct

The Code of Ethics and Conduct outlines the responsibilities of all GRLC Staff and the Church Leadership Team and their duty of care towards those they lead and work with.

Persons of Concerns Declaration

GRLC commits to following the process set out in the Australian Baptist Response to Persons of Concern process by notifying the NSW Baptist Association when any person of concern is identified and following the risk management process.

Safe Food Handling

We have guidelines and an agreement for anyone who prepares or handles food for events and ministries at Georges River Life Centre.

Safe Food Handling Guidelines

This manual has been created to provide guidelines to ensure that all reasonable measures have been taken to ensure people are not placed at risk of illness or infection from foods served at our functions and events.

Safe Food Handling Agreement

Anyone who is preparing or handling food for events at the Life Centre must sign this agreement and complete a quiz to show they have read and understood the guidelines.

Team Leader Responsibilities and Agreement

Team Leaders have additional responsibilities to ensure that all team members are following safe food handling procedures.

All Team Leaders must complete the Team Leader agreement and quiz.
