Host Your Own Gingerbread House Making Party – From Sunday 1 December
We are encouraging our church family to intentionally invite people into their homes this Christmas season, and we want to provide a fun way to do so!
From November, we will be taking orders for take-home packs for gingerbread houses and biscuits (gluten free options available) so you can host your own gingerbread party. Each pack will contain all you need: gingerbread, icing, lollies, boards, cellophane and ribbon.
If you want to host a dinner or party in another way you are most welcome – our heart is that we take this Christmas season as opportunity to invite people into our homes and lives and build deeper connections that combat loneliness.
Check back here in November to order your gingerbread.
Better Together Sunday Series
Starting Sunday 1 December, Ben Rusin will be leading us in a teaching series up till Christmas that will inspire us with the type of relationships and communities we can have in Jesus’ kingdom. Real, purposeful relationships that reveal Jesus and value community is the answer to the loneliness and isolation we can all experience.

It takes a community to raise a child!
At Georges River we believe in a believers baptism, but love to create this opportunity for parents to share their intentions to raise their child to know and love Jesus. Child dedications are therefore about celebrating the role of family in discipling children; the immediate family and the church family. We love to take the time in our services to stand alongside a family and declare that we value their child and will partner with them in leading their kids to be all God has called them to be.

A special service Coming together to celebrate who we are, where we are from and where Jesus is leading us followed by a multicultural lunch… everyone is invited!
MONDAY 28 SEP – FRIDAY 2 OCT 2020
Get away from Facebook and the fridge and come and spend some time studying hard, hanging out with friends and meeting new people.
At REV Camp 2020 you will complete over 30 hours of supervised study in a quiet environment and spend some time enjoying a rare social life with other year twelvers from around your area. REV Camp will get you motivated to prepare for your exams and assessments and minimise the inevitable stresses that come with the HSC.
Previously REV Camp has run in the July school holidays, however with the COVID-19 restrictions we are for the first time running it in October. We are excited to do this as we ALWAYS get requests from HSC students to run REV Camp again in the couple of weeks right before their final exams! This will also provide us with the unique opportunity to take the results and feedback you receive from your trial exams to provide more targeted tutoring and support.

Watoto Children’s Choir travels from Africa with an inspiring story of hope.
The Watoto Children’s Choir, a group of 18 vulnerable children from Uganda, are visiting GRLC as a part of its six month tour in Australia featuring their concert, Signs & Wonders.
The FREE concert features songs that share the stories of the children and the hope they have because of God’s love.
Since 1994, Watoto Children’s Choirs have traveled the world sharing the plight of Africa’s orphaned children. Each child in the choir has suffered the loss of one or both of their parents but they have now been rescued. They live in a Watoto village or a neighbouring community where they are supported by Watoto’s Neighborhood project. Watoto is a holistic child-care solution initiated to serve the dire needs of the people of Africa.
Ivan Masembe (13) is excited to be part of the Watoto Children’s Choir, touring Australia in 2018. Before he joined Watoto, his father had abandoned their family, leaving his unemployed mother without support.
Through the Watoto neighbourhood project, his mother was also equipped with practical skills to help support herself and her family. Ivan was also offered the opportunity to be educated at a Watoto school.
“Since joining Watoto they have taught me how to respect people, work with others, and help my mother.
While I’m on the road with the choir, I am going to share the story of the miracles that Jesus has done in my life, and I hope it will help people to know that, in Christ, there is nothing to fear” said Ivan.
