A HOLISTIC APPROACH…

Early last year we connected with a woman and her 4 children, she had recently given birth to her fourth child whilst living in a woman’s refuge after escaping very violent circumstances.

The woman and her children were isolated, having been rejected from family and living in an unhealthy environment. Through Case Management, Life Care helped her find more suitable accomodation close to her kids school.

Life Care was also able to help her pay household bills and help her access to Money Care; free financial counselling, We have been able to help her with regular food hampers to ease the burden of day to day living expenses.

Life Care also provided the opportunity for her daughter to attend dance workshops at ArtsLife, where she is having fun and meeting new friends, building confidence and self esteem. Mum is also enjoying the opportunity meeting other mums and carers and has developed some great new relationships.

More recently, her son was having some emotional and behavioural issues as a result of the many life changes. One of our case managers, who also works at the local School in our Student Welfare Program, was able to support him. Mum was most grateful and reassured that she already had a relationship with the Case Manager, who understood the family’s circumstances.
