COMMUNITY RELIEF

Providing essential food support with dignity, while creating opportunities for genuine connection and community.

Our Community Relief program provides practical support through food assistance, while creating meaningful opportunities for connection. We offer food hampers to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship, ensuring access to essential groceries with dignity and care.

More than just food, Community Relief is about people. Through shared spaces and conversations, we create opportunities for individuals to feel seen, supported, and connected to their community. Whether it’s a hamper, a coffee, or a conversation, our aim is to meet immediate needs while building pathways toward stability, wellbeing, and belonging.

Life Care provides pantry hampers packed full of pantry staples such as pasta, pasta sauce, rice, long life milk etc

Eligible clients have access to fresh food hampers subject to availability and season.

Join us on Community Connect days for free barista made coffee and community lunches.

Please note: hampers are limited and hamper contents are subject to availability. Individuals and households must meet criteria to be eligible. Life Care does not hold hampers. Please see times for collection below.

THE STORY SO FAR

The Peakhurst Life Care Community Relief Centre opened in April 2020 to meet the community’s demands in crisis during COVID lockdown restrictions.

Since then, the centre has become a central hub for the growing needs of the disadvantaged in our local community. It provides over 100 hampers a week to families and individuals doing it tough.

We are grateful for the ongoing support and generosity of our locals donating hamper items as well as Hands and Feet, Foodbank, Oz Harvest, Second Bite and Liverpool Council for their partnership and support.
